Who we are

Coaching philosophy

We believe that everybody should be able to endure again no matter their history or current situation. Everybody deserves information and guidance that is grounded in science, free of fluff and misinformation. We know injury is an emotional journey and compassion for the person is of equally importance to the prescribed workouts and exercises. The human body should not be a limiter for exercise, and we will work together to find and manage the right training load so you can do what you want to do injury free and happy.

our values

Kevin Le

As a licensed physical therapist and endurance coach, Kevin has a passion for understanding the human body and enjoys connecting with people over shared interests.

He finds fulfillment in helping athletes dealing with challenging injuries return to a high level of sport with physical and mental robustness and a better understanding of endurance training.

He is highly knowledgeable in anatomy, physiology, strength training, and nutrition, and he constantly pursues new knowledge based in science and research.

Kevin has been racing triathlons for over ten years, from sprint to ironman distances, qualifying for Kona and achieving an ironman PR of 9:00:18. He loves triathlons and its challenges in multiple domains: it is a puzzle, is physically and mentally demanding, and requires time management skills, consistency, and patience.

In his free time you can find Kevin cooking, hanging out with his cat; Applejack, playing violin, or simply sitting on the couch catching up on the latest YouTubes!

Batya Beard

Batya is a current professional triathlete and comes from an injury-ridden college career at Oregon State University. She had six major injuries up until her final year at OSU when she met Kevin, who offered to help  coach her.

While focusing on running, Batya followed Kevin’s guidance for her running and cross training to minimize injury risk and maximize fitness. She went on to drop two minutes off her 5k PR, running 16:01 in her first 5k in  four years. She also became an All American in cross country and set the former school record for the 10k of 33:25.

Batya is now passionate about athletes having the best coach possible to maximize their chances of reaching their potential.

She has learned a lot from being coached by Kevin and wishes to help other people share a similar journey. She also wants to foster a community around triathlon that is fun, hard-working, and caring.
